Waste Minimisation
Waste Minimisation
The correct starting point for environmental management of a site is the recyling pyramid
Reduce – Reuse – Recycle – Treatment and Disposal
Reducing waste or waste minimisation can in some cases be a complex exercise involving the use of process modification or extensive research or trials. It is effectively a condition of IPPC licenses that companies should attempt to reduce waste generation at source, and there is a reporting requirement imposed on companies to ensure that efforts are being made on individual sites.
Ensen has considerable experience in waste minimisation often working closely with companies in identifying process changes and working right through the treatment process. We have worked on a wide range of projects including waste recovery and reuse from system design to commercialisation of the recovered waste.
